"I support our union because I love my job and care for my colleagues. I want all of us who work at the museum to be able to afford housing and food in the city where we work. No one should struggle or have to choose which necessities to buy this month. I want us all to have respect and dignity in our workplace, as well as the opportunity to have a say in things that affect us. Giving employees a thriving wage, respect, and a voice is a recipe for an organization’s success. People – workers – make an organization successful. We have made the Denver Art Museum successful. And I want the Denver Art Museum to continue to succeed. I want to envision a future for myself at a successful, inclusive, and fair organization. Proximity to art doesn’t pay rent; museum prestige doesn’t buy groceries. Solidarity is the future or there is no future."
